Intuit’s QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation, certifies expertise in all phases of the installation, use, and troubleshooting of Intuit’s  QuickBooks Accounting Software. Besides training in how to assist businesses to customize QuickBooks for their unique needs and helping them get the most out of the software, Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors are also trained in how to consult in choosing the most appropriate version of QuickBooks to match the needs of the business. ProAdvisor training also makes certified advisors a great resource for troubleshooting QuickBooks problems or general QuickBooks help and advice. 

Sleeter Group Accounting Workshop

Completed Accounting Workshop from The Sleeter Group, a nationally recognized purveyor of high quality QuickBooks "best practices" for proper implementation of small- to medium-sized business accounting software systems.

College Level Basic and Advanced Accounting

Provided instruction on all fundamental accounting concepts including financial statements, internal control, elements of the accounting cycles for merchandising and service enterprises, assets, liability and equity formation for different economic entities.

College Level Managerial Accounting

Provided instruction in managerial cost concepts, cost accounting systems, cost profit relationships, budgeting, and standard cost analysis.

EDD Payroll Tax Workshop

Provided training to insure compliance with State of California payroll tax laws.  The course covered California payroll reporting requirements (forms, employer obligations, reporting, and payment requirements), independent contractor reporting requirements, electronic filing and payment requirements and options, and federal payroll reporting requirements (Forms 940, 941, 1099, W-2, W-4, W-9, and alternative filing).

State Board of Equalization Sales Tax Workshop

Provided training to insure proper preparation of sales and use tax returns, electronic filing (eFiling), supporting and reporting exempt sales, using a resale certificate, determining what is taxable and non‑taxable labor, and how to maintain adequate records.

H&R Block Tax Course

Provided training in basic tax theory, proper preparation of tax returns, latest tax laws and filing practices, the filing process, and techniques in determining tax objectives. Though not a tax preparer per se, Iona felt the need to train herself in knowing what is required for basic tax reporting

Excel Workshop

Advanced techniques for cell and page formatting, formula use, data manipulation, filtering, importing and exporting
